At Twisted Wire Design, our portrait process is designed to feel effortless from start to finish. We begin with the end in mind - helping you envision how your portraits will live in your home long before your session day arrives.

Master Photographer Allison Russell brings over 15 years of experience to guide every detail for you. From room design planning, styling recommendations, professional hair and makeup, and location selection to expert framing and installation, we create timeless fine art portraits thoughtfully designed for your home and your family’s legacy.

Consult

We begin with your consultation - the most important step in your portrait experience. We will discuss how you'd like your portraits to live in your home. Will they be a big beautiful piece above your couch? A series of four in your entry? An lovely Italian Leather Legacy album for your coffee table? Knowing how you'd like to display your portraits helps us determine goals for your session.

This is the time we will also brainstorm your session style and wardrobe, whether it is our oil painted portraits, environmental, or modern studio. We want your portraits to be as unique as you are and fit your home perfectly.

Create

Your session day!

We take the worry out of your session with our planning, so when you arrive you can just enjoy the day. Have a drink and let our professional hair and makeup artist enhance your natural beauty with our complimentary services. During your session, you will feel confident as Master Photographer Allison Russell directs posing and lighting so you look and feel your absolute best.

View & Order

Within a week of your session, you will come into the studio to view your art and pick your favorites. Through our unique wall design process, we mock up your own walls with art to determine the perfect fit for your home. If you selected an album during your consult, we also choose the portraits that will be included.

Once your order is finalized, we perfect your images through our master retouching, design your album, and finish your art with custom framing.
